CBD Oils UK – Are You Being Rid Off?

CBD is a cannabis compound that acts on cannabinoid receptors in cells to alter neurotransmitter release and affect our moods. It’s found in the marijuana plant and is different to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which gives cannabis its psychoactive properties and is classed as a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Despite this, the UK is seeing a boom in products that contain CBD, and it’s not hard to find a CBD product on the High Street or online. It has become popular in everything from CBD cappuccinos and ice cream to moisturisers. It’s even claimed to cure everything from stress and anxiety to sleeplessness and joint pain. But are people being ripped off?

A quick search of the internet reveals that there are hundreds of CBD products available, ranging from lotions and oils to capsules and gummies. But while there is some early promising evidence that CBD may help with specific conditions, these studies are usually small and have had mixed results. Moreover, it’s important to remember that not all CBD is created equal.

Despite being a booming industry, the UK’s CBD market is not yet properly regulated. As a result, many of the CBD products you can buy on the High Street are not guaranteed to be safe or effective, and could be full of contaminants. In fact, a recent analysis of products on the High Street by think tank the Centre for Medicinal Cannabis found that two-thirds failed to contain the level of CBD promised on their labels.

In contrast, CBD RAIDERS only use premium hemp extracts and the highest quality base oils in all of their products – including organic coconut and MCT (fractionated) hemp oil. They also use advanced chromatography techniques to isolate the most active cannabinoids, and all of their products are third-party lab tested for purity, potency and cannabinoid content.

The NHS highlights that because CBD is classed as a ‘food supplement’ rather than a medicinal product, it isn’t regulated and there is no guarantee that the labelled amount of the active ingredient will be in the product you receive. This doesn’t mean you should avoid using it entirely, but that you should always seek expert advice and use a reputable brand. CBD Oils UK
